[Osaka - Umeda] German Christmas Market (Deutscher Weihnachtsmarkt in Osaka)

It is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in Osaka. If you want to get into the Christmas spirit, head over to the Umeda/Osaka Station German Christmas Market!

It is held from 11/14 to 12/25. Monday through Thursday from noon until 9PM, Friday from noon until 10PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 11AM until 10PM.

This is the first authentic German Christmas Market in Japan and can be found right behind the station, at the North Gate shopping center.

The admission is free and there is authentic German food and drink available for purchase, including holiday-appropriate foods like Christmas baked goods/cookies and hot mulled wine. I approve.

If you just want some typical German fare, you can get sausages and beer.

The atmosphere is great, they really did design it like a German market! There are reindeer and Santa decorations and Christmas lights everywhere.

The beer garden draws a large crowd, but there are plenty of seats available.

For the kiddos, there are plenty of activities and attractions, including a Merry-Go-Round and plenty of Christmas decorations, including a HUGE Christmas Tree.
