[Boston, Fenway Park] Sweet Cheeks Q

One of the first places I ate in Boston was Sweet Cheeks Q and it was great. Barbecue and homestyle sides that are plenty filling and very tasty. The sauce is on the side, so it's up to you which kind (out of four) you want. They have full bar, but also really great sweet tea. Another favorite, that I have not yet tried, are the biscuits--which are huge and can come in a bucket. Sweet Cheeks is in the Fenway neighborhood, just a few blocks from Fenway Park, so it's a great place to go before or after a game (or tour). It's also very close to many of the Colleges of the Fenway and the Longwood Medical Area.

[Korea, Convenience Stores] Sparkling Soju (부라더#소다)

I decided to start writing some information about new snacks and convenience store products I have been finding these days...hope it doesn't get too annoying.

부라더#소다 is a carbonated soju product (3% alcohol)

For the past few weeks, I have been seeing pictures of this popping up on social media and found it at the CU next to my house when I went there to buy my chips (BTW, potato chips are 2+1 at CU until the end of the month, so you get 3 bags for 3000KRW.)

NYC Trip Recap

Quick recap of my trip to New York City.
It was a crazy whirlwind of a trip. Had so much to do, people to see, and, on top of that, there was a 14-hour time difference (thank you daylight savings time).

I managed to go to almost all of the boroughs. I spent most of my time in Manhattan, but also managed to go to Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.

The Bronx barely counts. I just went there to go to Target to buy toothpaste and vitamins. As stupid as it sounds, the thing I miss the most while in Korea is American toothpaste. I haven't quite gotten desperate enough to get a Costco membership, but I can feel that may happen soon enough, especially if I stay here much longer.

Question: When you are abroad, what do you miss the most?
For me, Target, toothpaste with fluoride, and reasonably priced vitamins.

[Sinchon, Seoul] Amma Indian Restaurant Revisit

Revisited Amma with my friends a little while ago. We were regulars at Amma's original location 5 years ago. So, when my friend visited from Copenhagen, we had to definitely visit Amma's new, HUGE location.

New York Travel - Where to go?

I've been extremely busy with work for the past 1.5 months, so I have neglected this blog. So sorry!
The major deadline has passed, FINALLY!

I will try and update very, very soon with some more food in Seoul.

In the meantime, anyone have any recommndations for what to do in NYC?
It has been about 1.5 years since I was there last! I can't believe it!! Where did the time go?
So, I'm sorely behind on the cool stuff to do there.

I will be in NYC from November 7~14!
Just a quick trip!

Any tips would be appreciated! :)

[Chungdam, Seoul] Jil'Hal Bros - Chicken over Rice

Everyone who has been to NYC and tried the famous Halal Guys Chicken Over Rice knows what I mean when I say that I crave that flavor from time to time...

I was excited to learn that a place just opened in Chungdam, Seoul that tried to replicate that flavor.
My friend I decided to go check it out.

[Korea] Sulbing Korean Dessert Cafe - Injeolmi Bingsu

Sulbing, the Korean Dessert Cafe, has been sprouting up all around the country.
It is famous for its bingsu, especially in the heat of the infamous Korean summer.

The first time you go, I recommend getting the injeolmi bingsu, the original bingsu and most popular.

[Jamsil, Lotte World] Uncles Dduk (Blooming Squid Ddukbokki)

Korea knows we eat with our eyes first. There is this trend of "visual" food.
Uncles Dduk (엉클스) capitalizes on this knowledge and actually produces food that is visually appealing (wowing, even) and also tastes pretty good.

Hiiiii~ I'm back in Seoul.

Hello everyone,
I am back from my brief hiatus.
I finally got all settled into my new life back in Seoul.
I recently moved into my apartment, got my internet set up, and started exploring my new neighborhood.

It took a while to decide where I wanted to live, there were just so many decisions to make!
With that being said, I moved to a brand new area for me, so it means I am going to be having a lot of new food adventures, so stay tuned!

My new job is going well and I am started to get readjusted to "Seoul life."

I'll be trying to do a mix of backblogging on my US adventures and new adventures in Seoul/Asia.

[Minneapolis] Afro Deli & Coffee - Sambusa

One of my favorite places to grab a quick meal on the go in Minneapolis is Afro Deli and Coffee. It is so cheap and located conveniently right on West Bank (across from Carlson School of Management on 5th Street).

I highly recommend stopping by for a quick, cheap African and Halal meal. I typically get the sambusa, but there are plenty of other great options.

Some Georgetown Cupcakes to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!

While I was living in Georgetown, my visiting friends kept talking about going to Georgetown Cupcake (from the TLC television show DC Cupcakes). There were always sooo many people out front. Often, the line was 2 blocks long or longer. I couldn't handle that. But, luckily this day, there was no one, so I was the first to go inside!

Korea Shopping: Must Buy - Korean Exfoliating Cloth

There are a few items that are super great to get in Korea. One of these items are Korean exfoliating cloths!

If you've ever been to a Korean spa or jjimjilbang and have gone and had the body scrub, these are the cloths they use!

Has anyone gotten a scrub at a jjimjilbang? Isn't this one of the most painful, but rewarding experiences when you leave with super soft skin and about 2 shades lighter?
