After we finished eating, though, the line had easily tripled in length.
We arrived around 7PM on a Saturday, so maybe arriving earlier is better if lines are your enemy.
There are about 40 or 50 seats if you combine both of the dining rooms. There is also a booth area outside where you can eat your food if you get takeout. It has about 8 chairs.
We went with the 모듬 (6,000KRW). This is one mungbean pancake and one flattened meatball (?). It was the right size for both of us, we had plans to continue our food tour to another place later.
Oddly, this was the first time I had Korean food in like 3 weeks. So strange, right?
The pancakes were a little greasy, but are cooked fresh and served to you hot, but the kimchi is pretty good in this very bare bones establishment.
The meat pancake was not my favorite thing in the world. I guess next time, I would just go with just the bindaetteok.
To eat the pancakes, take a little of the onion and eat it with a bit of the pancake. Feel free to dip the pancake in the soy sauce.
We also got a bottle of the Daebak Makeolli (3,000KRW). This is really not my favorite flavor of makeolli by any means, but there were not many options here.
Keep in mind, this place is CASH ONLY!
From Jongro-5-ga Station (line 1), go out exit 8 and walk straight to the first street. There, turn left and walk about 30 meters.
You should see a line of people, otherwise there will be a lady making pancakes and frying them outside the store.
