[Seoul - Samcheongdong] Cook'n Heim - Featured on Running Man - Crazy burger!

If you're a fan of Running Man, you definitely need to check out Cook N Heim in Samcheongdong.

Even if you're not a Running Man fan, you should also check it out. This is a great location for brunch because it has great views of the main street of Samcheongdong, which makes it prime real estate for people watching.

The novelty burger trend is still holding strong in Seoul. It seems like there is a new burger place opening every day.

Cook n Heim has been around for a few years. I always saw it and meant to check it out, but finally got the chance.

I guess one of its claims to fame is that it was featured on the Korean variety show "Running Man." The second claim to fame is that it's in a hanok (traditional house), so it has great views if you can snag a seat by the window.

The three of us opted to try the North American Big Plate "Burger Big Plate".
It is a two-story cheeseburger topped with tomatoes, onions, and some sprouts, surrounded by sausage, bacon, fried chicken, fries, and coleslaw.

The fried chicken was so-so, but that's not the major draw.

The burger was pretty good, but compared to other novelty, trendy burgers I have had in Korea, it was not top 3.

The plate is a good value and easily enough for three to share...unless you have some big eaters at your table.

Since the menu said it was a 2-person burger, we added a Cranberry Ricotta Cheese Pizza. We originally wanted the ricotta salad, but the waitress said they were sold out for the day. Mysteriously, they had salad fixings for other salads and ricotta cheese for this pizza, though.

Anyway, the pizza was actually really good. It was one of those kind of strange Korean fusion pizzas with a strange cheese combination, but for some reason the cranberries and ricotta complemented the cheddar cheese and mozzarella mix.

The pizzas here are very thin crust, FYI.

We also split a mangoade.

I forgot to take a picture of the view, but it's great if you are seated in the front seating area. You can see people strolling along the Samcheongdong main street since Cook n Heim is located up the stairs a bit.

I took some poor quality pictures of the menu, sorry about that. It was really bright and I didn't realize my phone was not really capturing the words well. (Click the pictures to enlarge.)
The menu is available in English and Korean, so no worries there. If all else fails, just order by picture.

If you're walking along Samcheongdong, Cook'n Heim will be easy to find.

It's located on the right hand side of the road (if you're walking from Anguk Station).

These banners are located at the base of the stairs.

Once you climb up about 10-15 stairs, the entrance should be on your left.
