[Minneapolis - Stadium Village] Punch Pizza

Punch Pizza in Minneapolis, Minnesota serves Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizza at its nine Minnesota metro area locations.

As an undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota, I typically went to the Stadium Village location, but I have also been to the Uptown location.

Each location has its own wood-burning oven which bakes the pizza dough at 800 degrees, culminating in crust with wonderful, light and bubbly texture.

All classic pizzas at Punch are topped with fresh mozzarella and crushed fresh tomatoes, whereas the white pizzas do not have tomatoes, obviously.

The salads are fresh and made with quality ingredients.

The focaccia starter is a perfect study snack and at $2 for a half-order, it is definitely student budget-friendly.

TIPS: If you follow Punch Pizza on Facebook, they occasionally have discounts and free pizza days.

Trivia: In 2014, the owner of Punch Pizza was chosen to represent small business/restaurant owners who pay their staff minimum wage and was formally recognized by President Obama in the 2014 State of the Union address.

LOCATION:

The Uptown location is right by Burger Jones.

The Stadium Village location is located right by the Chipotle on East Bank, near TCF Stadium and McNamara Alumni Center.
