All my friends in America were raving about how great the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water, but it wasn't available in Korea, so I had to wait to get back to America to try it.
Bioderma line, typically the pink bottle (link) and I was happy with it because it did exactly what I needed it to do, cleanse my face and remove my makeup, all without causing me to breakout. The only thing I was upset about was the price...it seemed like so much money to pay for what's just special water.
Anyway, I got back and I got to finally try the Garnier one. I opted for the blue bottle for waterproof makeup, since all of my Korean makeup is waterproof and because my BB cream is SUPER stubborn and my dream was to be able to remove it and my eye makeup, especially the Clio KillBlack Eyeliner with one product.
I picked a bottle up of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for about $7. I was a little hesitant at first because the separation was so visible and I was worried it would make my skin look and feel slick/greasy.
I have used the entire bottle and have been happy with the results, so I thought I'd share here and also ask you for some tips if you're an avid user.
I have used it with both cotton balls and cotton pads. I prefer the cotton pads. Because of what I use it for, having the extra surface area is great.
It took a bit to get used to, though. Unlike the Bioderma line that has the pump, the Garnier line does not. So, it took me a bit of time to figure out how much I needed without it being too much/wasteful.
It really does take off waterproof mascara and waterproof eyeliner, even my KillBlack. It really does require ZERO rubbing, which is great! After you figure out how much water you need, you can just leave your cotton pad on your eyelid for like 2ish seconds and then the makeup will just come off! For the rest of my makeup, BB cream, etc., I do need some rubbing, but not crazy rubbing just enough to make sure that the product gets pushed around.
